About Us

        1 John 4:16

'So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us'

Ebenezer Baptist Church  is situated just off Church Street Abertillery in Park Place. Ebenezer originated from Kings Street Chapel and after an extensive building programme, funded entirely by the membership of the church at that time, opened its doors in 1876.
Since then there have been many changes and updates to the building including a sizeable extension in 1904/5 to accommodate the large numbers of folk who responded to the Gospel during that particular revival .
Today, Ebenezer is used by a vast number of local community groups who we are glad to welcome. As a Church we are a small but thriving community that seeks to build strong links with the wider community of Abertillery and welcome all who come. You may see some of us in town from time to time, as Street Pastors, helpers collecting for Food Bank and talking to others about Jesus.
Our Sunday Services are at 11.00am and 6pm, to which all are welcome.

During the week we have a number of small groups that meet on Tuesday, Wednesday  and Thursday.

Our FoodBank happens on a Thursday from 10am to 1pm. If you are in need please come, we are discrete and we promise to welcome you. You could also have a free cup of coffee in our Coffee Bar which is also open on a Thursday from 10:30am to 12:30

We also have a fun Toddlers Group that meets on a Friday during term-time from 9:30am.
This is a little about us. We’d love to get to know you too. Thanks for visiting.
